Food Chain Story

I really liked the idea of using this book to help introduce the food chain into a lesson and that is why I am putting it on my science wikipedia.

Tornado Tube

The tornado tube is a contraption that allows two 2 liter bottles to be screwed onto it from both ends. One bottle is usually filled about 3/4 full with water and then turned upside down so that the water drains into the empty bottle. When the draining takes place, it forms a tornado within the bottle. A lighter (in weight) colored liquid could be added to the water for more visual effect.

Diving Ball

This diving ball demonstrates the submarine theory and Archimedes' principle. When air is drawn out of the ball with the syringe, a vacuum is created. Water enters the ball through the nut in the bottom of the ball causing the ball to sink. Then, by slowly filling the ball with air the water is forced out and the ball rises.
