Snow

I think this would be something fun to have in a classroom - especially in Hawaii. It could be used when we cover the forms of matter.

Volcano

In one of the class presentations, we got to make a volcano out of a jar with baking soda and water (with some detergent). I saw this online at Amazon.com for less than $10.

Laser Pointer

Laser pointers are a good resource to use to look at the different characteristics of light and what mediums light can or cannot pass through. It is also really good to use for testing what mediums reflect or refract light.

Rocket Balloons

These balloons are good to use for teaching the concepts of "Force" and "Motion" (Newton's 3rd law of motion).

Electromagnet

This electromagnets uses batteries to convert electricity to magnetic energy. This can be found here:

Magnets

We used magnets in class for a few presentations. I really like the magnets with the North and South marked on them. I can purchase some here:

Butterfly Garden

We did not get to use the butterfly garden that was in the classroom (but we did have some catepillars that turned into butterflies). This is something I would like to have in my classroom someday.
